We are all about maximizing ground clearance and offering the lowest profile bumpers possible. As a result, some of our rear bumper options lose the ability to mount a license plate. Our solution is this No-drill license plate mount. This mounting plate has a CNC-folded bottom lip and supplied set screws that clamp onto the bottom lip of your pickup truck tailgate or SUV rear hatch to secure the license plate in place. We wanted to avoid drilling holes into the factory painted sheet metal at all costs, as it inevitably leads to ugly rust drips that will only get worse over time. This mounting plate allows you to re-mount your license plate without any modification to the vehicle or breaking the factory paint surface.
•Universal fitment uses supplied set screws to clamp the License plate onto the bottom lip of vehicle tailgate/rear hatch - NO drilling required
•Made in-house from CNC-laser cut and folded 14 Gauge steel
•Ships in bare steel, ready for the paint or powder coating of your choice

Purchased a high clearance bumper kit for my son’s 2nd generation Tacoma. He had almost zero welding experience and thought this would be a great crash course. I am pleased to say I was right. The bumper came out great. The precision of the cuts made tacking it a piece of cake and all the external seam welds get ground smooth anyway, so it was a great place to work on his technique. I highly recommend this project for a great bumper as well as a great learning experience.

Fantastic bumper, even for a novice welder. I really liked how all the pieces just fit together, and the locating tabs were also a big help. The one improvement I would make is to allow a little more room to access the inside of the bumper, or at least slightly larger access holes. Getting the license plate mounted was impossible for me, and the winch mount bolts were difficult. Aside from that, I love it!

The small shop that can AND DOES!!! A project type that always has challenges and no surprise I did. Bandon and the Coastal Offroad team were extremely supportive, service was excellent & responsive, and the product after several off-road excursions and a 10,000 km touring lap from Alberta down the entire Pacific Coast Hwy to Baja Mexico in the fall confirmed the bumpers performed to expectation!
