These aren't your average round tube sliders. The square inner tubes, laser CNC-cut step plates and tapered ends really set these sliders apart. The inner rails and mounting legs are made from 2x2" wall square tubing and finished with large CNC-cut frame mounting plates and rear gussets that ensure these sliders will stand up to the harshest abuse you can throw at them.
This mounting design also ensures that those big trail impacts will get spread out over a large area of your Ranger frame. Some sliders use skimpy round tubing mounting legs that mount directly to the side of the thin factory frame rails. These can dent the frame rails over time and even punch right through the vehicle's frame under hard hits. With this kit, the provided frame plates get welded onto your Ranger's frame and spread impact loads evenly over your frame rails. 2x2" 3/16" wall square tube legs bridge the gap between the mounting plates (the highest stress areas in the entire slider) and create super stiff sliders that will not bend or flex excessively under the most extreme conditions. As a finishing touch, the ends of the square main rails are tapered at a 45 degree angle to ensure that they will not become battering rams if faced with a rock or stump.
These sliders come in pieces that are pre-bent, pre-cut and ready to weld. The kits ship with clear and detailed step by step directions that are accompanied by CAD diagrams. The 6 (3 per side) mounting legs in this kit ship pre-cut with the perfect angles and lengths so the sliders can be positioned at the right angle and distance from the Ranger without any guess work or frustrating angle cuts. The pictured sliders are set at a 10 degree angle to provide great ground clearance and a convenient step to reach your roof rack or truck bed. You can also adjust the angle up or down while assembling the sliders if you wish to have a flatter or more extreme slider angle.

Purchased a high clearance bumper kit for my son’s 2nd generation Tacoma. He had almost zero welding experience and thought this would be a great crash course. I am pleased to say I was right. The bumper came out great. The precision of the cuts made tacking it a piece of cake and all the external seam welds get ground smooth anyway, so it was a great place to work on his technique. I highly recommend this project for a great bumper as well as a great learning experience.

Fantastic bumper, even for a novice welder. I really liked how all the pieces just fit together, and the locating tabs were also a big help. The one improvement I would make is to allow a little more room to access the inside of the bumper, or at least slightly larger access holes. Getting the license plate mounted was impossible for me, and the winch mount bolts were difficult. Aside from that, I love it!

The small shop that can AND DOES!!! A project type that always has challenges and no surprise I did. Bandon and the Coastal Offroad team were extremely supportive, service was excellent & responsive, and the product after several off-road excursions and a 10,000 km touring lap from Alberta down the entire Pacific Coast Hwy to Baja Mexico in the fall confirmed the bumpers performed to expectation!
